Family Readiness Program Training provides necessary training for Command Teams, FROs, Family Readiness Advisors, and Family Readiness Assistants on their roles and responsibilities in the Unit Family Readiness Program.
The Unit Family Readiness Program has evolved to meet the growing challenges of the present day Marine Corps lifestyle. The program focuses on education, training and development of Marines and their families through official communications, information and referral, and readiness and deployment support. Some advancements include...
- An expanded definition of “Family”: You can now include up to four extended family members in official communications. Your spouse, parents, sibling, extended-family, friends or anyone who plays an important role in your Military Readiness can be included.
- A re-vamped staff: Including specialized installation trainers and a full-time Family Readiness Officer (FRO) dedicated solely to your individual Unit Family Readiness Program.
- Childcare and mileage re-imbursements: Participants can be compensated while volunteering with the program.
- Three web-based software programs: One of these contemporary programs allows Marines to select how they want to receive official communication; text messages, emails, and, or voice messages.
- Numerous volunteering opportunities: Whether you’re an experienced spouse, a second-generation Marine parent, or brand new fiancé, there are numerous ways to help out:
- Family Readiness Advisor: A seasoned family member with creditable military lifestyle insight and plenty of time to dedicate to the program. Mandatory application/appointment process and training required.
- Family Readiness Assistant: A detail-oriented family member that can assist the FRO with a variety of administrative duties. Mandatory application/appointment process and training required.
- Moral Support Volunteer: Any family member who wants to help out with Family Readiness Events. This is a flexible volunteering position so you can do as much or as little as you desire.
